STORIES

Beyond the score.

The score is only one piece of the trip. Stories keeps the road, the people, the corrections and the reasons behind the Hunt in one place.

Why the Hunt exists

The point is not to build another restaurant directory. GourmetNomNom follows a real culinary journey: backroads, local places, road-trip food, honest reactions and the kind of stops people remember enough to tell someone else about.

Latest field note

The current chapter remains the West Virginia Burger Tour, with Stop #30, Fire Dawgs, now part of the field record at 8.6/10. The Fire Jumper brought two patties, Swiss, sautéed mushrooms, grilled onions, jalapeños, crunchy onions and chipotle aioli at a strong value.

Where the stories lead

Future stories can expand into restaurant histories, the people behind local places, recipes, regional food traditions and the road itself. Until those pieces are ready, the published stop records and rankings remain the live story archive.
